Winners: 2017 NAACP Image Awards
The NAACP champion the advancement of coloured people in America and around the world. Their annual Image Awards, therefore, have a natural skew in favour of films made by and starring people of colour.
Therefore, it could be the last time Moonlight dominates an awards show before the Oscars, collecting three including Best Director. Though top honors were reserved for Hidden Figures, which won the award for outstanding motion picture.
