Winners: 2016 National Board of Review

Published

on

Talk about throwing some rain on Moonlight’s parade. The National Board of Review have announced their 2016 winners, giving Manchester by the Sea four awards including Best Film.

Moonlight scored two awards and also made the shortlist of top films alongside other awards favourite La La Land. However, the NBR has a poor track record of predicting Oscars of late; since 2000 only two films have progressed to win Best Picture – No Country for Old Men and Slumdog Millionaire in successive years.

The full winners are below, or visit their website here.
