Twilight Finale Holds Firm On Thanksgiving!
With Stateside embracing one of it’s oldest traditions in the form of ‘Thanksgiving’, audiences seemed eager to remain around familiar faces this weekend. Despite the fact they are vampires and werewolves..
A steep drop-off from last week’s blockbusting box office takings was inevitable, but The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 held onto the top spot with $43.5 million. On home turf alone, the franchise finale has earned $226 million.
The new releases were out in force this week also, with Dreamwork’s latest animated feature ‘Rise Of The Guardians’ faring the most impressive debuting in fourth ($24 million). Narrowly behind was Ang Lee’s bid for awards season glory with his hotly anticipated adaptation of ‘Life Of Pi’ scoring $22 million and a Chris Hemsworth led remake of ‘Red Dawn’ settled for seventh position and $14.6 million.

1. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 $43 million
