Toronto 2016: Award Winners
The Toronto International Film Festival has been and gone for another year and, as expected, it has kick-started the marathon to the Oscars. Though not a competitive festival of sorts, their annual awards do single out some of the more impressive contributions to the festival, most notably the People’s Choice Award.
Voted on by TIFF attendees, the award has become a strong indicator of Oscar favourites, predicting the likes of Slumdog Millionaire and 12 Years a Slave. So who won this year? Find out below.
