The 2016 Golden Globes Nominations
It’s that time of year again. Awards season. At an event which this year will see the return of (brace yourself Hollywood) Ricky Gervais, as he takes the reins from dynamic female duo Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, the 2016 Golden Globes nominations have been revealed.
Leading the eclectic field this year on the cinematic front is Todd Haynes’ Carol, with a double Lead Actress haul for Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara respectively. Elsewhere, we saw the frenzied spectacle of George Miller’s Mad Max Fury Road, the hard-hitting journalism of Spotlight and the gritty intensity of The Revenant all acknowledged among many worthy others.
The 73rd Golden Globes take place on Sunday 10th January. The list of nominations can be found below.
