Suspenseful Second Trailer For ‘Detroit’ Debuts
Whilst not boasting the most extensive back catalogue, you can be sure that it’s firmly a case of quality over quantity with director Kathryn Bigelow.
Her first film in five years after Zero Dark Thirty starring Jessica Chastain which scored five Oscar nominations, Detroit is shaping up to be one of 2017’s most compelling releases, if the film’s searing new trailer is anything to go by.
Taking centre stage here is John Boyega’s (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) security guard Melvin Dismukes, who is visibly distraught as he is being fiercely questioned by cops about a motel incident.
A mere thread of the layered narrative, Bigelow is once again set to paint an uncompromising and hard-hitting portrait of the horrific riots that took place within the city, in the summer of 1967.
Also starring Will Poulter (The Revenant), Anthony Mackie (Captain America: Civil War), Hannah Murray (Game Of Thrones) and Jack Reynor (Free Fire). Detroit hits UK cinemas on 25th August 2017.
