Sponsored Video: Dom Hemingway
Jude Law stars as Dom Hemingway, a notorious safe-cracker who, after 12 years in prison is back on the streets of London looking to collect whar he is owed.
Law stars alongside Emelia Clarke, known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones and the ever-reliable Richard E. Grant (Dracula, Gosford Park) in this crime-caper that mixes drama and humour in equal doses.
Dom Hemingway becomes a fascinating character study, Law embodies the larger-than-life character that is Hemingway, seamlessly switching from thuggish lout to eloquent observer. While Hemingway does his best to pick up where he left off 12 years ago, he finds himself torn between the boy he used to be and the man he must not become. His daughter Evelyn (Clarke) has learned to live life without her father and Hemingwaytries to mend the ties that have been broken long ago. Grant plays Dickie, Dom’s bestfriend and enabler, spending the best and worst years of their lives together, Dickie brings the audience into the film even more, controlling the narrative with an impressive performance to compliment the strength already on screen thanks to Law and Clarke.
Watch the video below and you’ll soon find yourself intrigued and absorbed into the world that is ‘Dom Hemingway’
Not for the faint hearted, Dom Hemingway travels at such a pace, one minute a soft sentimental moment, the next a barrage of violence. It keeps the audience on edge, never knowing which way the plot could twist or turn.
Released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 31st 2014, Dom Hemingway is surely a must for any fans of the traditional British crime film with enough comedy to keep you chuckling throughout!
