Reynolds/L Jackson Join Forces In The Hitman’s Bodyguard Trailer
‘This guy singlehandedly ruined the word mother-f***er!’
With Deadpool and Nick Fury around, we should really expect such self-aware comic zingers.
Ryan Reynolds’ (currently seen in Life) executive protection agent along with Samuel L Jackson’s (Kong: Skull Island) notorious hitman are a reluctant double act in the first trailer for The Hitman’s Bodyguard and it looks a side-splitting riot.
Poking fun at Whitney Houston’s iconic movie soundtrack ‘I Will Always Love You’ along the way as it diverts us from some admittedly dodgy CGI at this stage within its frenetic set-pieces, the film is fully embracing of the raucous R-rated buddy comedy sensibilities associated with the likes of 21/22 Jump Street.
Directed by The Expendables 3’s Patrick Hughes and also starring Salma Hayek (Tale Of Tales) and Gary Oldman (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), The Hitman’s Bodyguard debuts in UK cinemas on 18th August 2017.
