Official Trailer For Todd Haynes’ Wonderstruck

With Far From Heaven and Carol, director Todd Haynes has possessed a wonderful knack at bringing real intimacy and subtlety to such mature drama.

Now he’s delving into more family-friendly fare as he re-teams with his ‘Heaven leading lady Julianne Moore, in the enchanting new trailer for ‘Wonderstruck’, as the film’s narrative shifts between two time periods.

1977 with Oakes Fegley’s Ben as he looks to find his dear father and Millicent Simmonds’ Rose in 1927, who dreams of meeting a much-loved actress by the name of Lillian Mayhew.

Based on the best-selling Brian Selznick novel and backed by Amazon Studios, the film also stars Michelle Williams and Tom Noonan.

An official UK release date is yet to be confirmed, but the film will be screened at this year’s London Film Festival on 5th October.
