Movie-Inspired Things To Do In London
London has always been a movie lovers paradise. From shooting locations to movie-inspired bars, restaurants and pop-ups; London always has something to offer.
As there is a huge range of movie inspired things to do in London we’ve decided to take a look at some of our favourites.
Visit A Famous Movie Location

With so many films shot in London, there’s a plethora of famous locations to choose from.
From romantic comedies such as Bridget Jones Diary and Notting Hill, to zombie apocalypse thriller 28 Days Later, the city of London forms the perfect backdrop for most movies.
Our favourites though is the London-based chase in Mission: Impossible – Fallout which sees Tom Cruise star as Ethan Hunt, running through multiple locations in London including St Paul’s Cathedral in a chase scene that lasts more than 5 minutes.
Of course there are also plenty of James Bond London-based moments to choose from, if 007 is your preferred secret operative!
Eat At A Film-Inspired Restaurant

While we’ve covered the locations above (there are plenty of London restaurants that feature in films) we’re looking at those that have taken inspiration from famous films.
One of our favourites is the Batman-inspired Park Row with its Gotham-themed art deco style and cocktails. Here you’ll find an few themed rooms, clearly taking their inspiration from the DC-universe!
If there’s one thing London definitely has plenty of, it’s places to eat. The large number of choices also means something else – that there’s something for everyone and that includes film fans! That also means there are plenty of restaurant deals in London to take advantage of using tastecard.
tastecard is a restaurant discount membership that helps you save with 2 for 1, 50% off food, and 25% off food & drinks at 1000s of UK restaurants, including big-name chains and charming indies… They also offer 50% off pizza delivery when you want to cosy up with takeout.
There’s also good news for films fans as they also offer slashed prices on the latest blockbusters at over 350 cinemas, 25% off barista-made drinks at 1000s of coffee shops, plus great discounts on popular UK attractions like Alton Towers.
Head To A Pop Up Cinema

Film-inspired pop-ups are becoming common place in London and some of the best film events in London take place at pop-up cinemas.
The Rooftop Film Club in Stratford has become a popular destination, especially when it shows London-based films such as Rye Lane, which it has done recently.
There’s also the Luna Cinema, which often takes place in some beautiful outdoor settings such as Wandsworth Park and Chiswick House, giving movie-goers the opportunity to watch films in a truly unique setting. Some of the recent offerings of Luna Cinema include classics such as Mean Girls and Dirty Dancing as well as some more recent offerings such as Top Gun: Maverick and The Greatest Showman.
