Matt Reeves To Helm ‘Apes’ Follow-Up!
After director Rupert Wyatt’s dramatic exit from the ‘Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes’ project which was put down to studio pressure , 20th Century Fox have wasted no time in reshuffling the pack.
Various names were thrown into the rumour mill, but Cloverfield and Let Me In director Matt Reeves has bagged the gig of helming the sequel to ‘Rise’.
Apparently switching his attention from Warner Bros’ rework of ‘The Twilight Zone’ to take the job, Reeves is deemed a safe pair of hands after his previous credits have involved showcasing visual trickery with emotionally engaging storylines.
With many of the original cast set to return (James Franco and Andy Serkis to name two), expect ‘Dawn’ to hit cinemas in May 2014!
