Latest Pacific Rim: Uprising Footage From Tokyo Comic Con

Little over a week until he returns as Finn in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Yet this isn’t the only blockbusting franchise John Boyega is involved in.

Next year he will play a prominent role alongside Scott Eastwood and the returning Rinko Kikuchi in sequel Pacific Rim: Uprising.

Here in this new featurette straight from Tokyo Comic Con, the cast and director Steven S. Deknight enthusiastically talk about their fondness for these monster movies, whilst giving us an in-depth look into how the immersive action sequences are realised.

Pacific Rim: Uprising is released on 23rd March 2018.

‘John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) stars as the rebellious Jake Pentecost, a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity’s victory against the monstrous “Kaiju.” Jake has since abandoned his training only to become caught up in a criminal underworld.
