Greengrass and Clooney Set To Team Up!
This seems like a match made in cinematic heaven. Paul Greengrass, throughout his career has combined the adrenaline pumping thrills of his Bourne installments with the politically and emotionally charged subject matters of United 93 and Bloody Sunday. George Clooney on the other hand, a well respected Hollywood actor/producer with an eye for engrossing dramas.
Installing Argo’s scripter Chris Terrio to pen the project, Clooney and Greengrass are set to team up for a crime thriller which for now remains untitled. As well as starring, Clooney will be on producer duties alongside Grant Heslov (Good Night and Good Luck).
Details remain limited in regards to the plot, other than it will be set within the hustle and bustle of New York City and harness it’s focus on crime syndicates. For fans of both the director and actor eagerly awaiting new material, Greengrass is still in hot pursuit of bringing his Martin Luther King project ‘Memphis’ to life. Whilst Clooney is steadying himself to go behind the camera once again for ‘The Monuments Men’.
