Gosling Set To Make Directorial Bow!
With his 2011 triple whammy of Crazy Stupid Love, The Ides of March and most notably Drive and the promise of Gangster Squad and a Logan’s Run remake on the horizon, Ryan Gosling has become one of the most sought after commodities in Hollywood. If many weren’t impressed enough with the actor, he’s about to make a surprise switch and get comfortable behind the camera.
It has been confirmed today, that Gosling is in the process of crafting his directorial debut entitled ‘How To Catch A Monster’. The project is a wholly original screenplay (also written by Gosling) and will be produced by Marc Platt productions. The star in a statement declared he was ‘very appreciative’ of ‘Marc Platt, Adam Siegel and Bold Films for being so supportive’.
The film is set to start production in the early stages of 2013 and the premise will involve Gosling’s fellow Drive co-star Christina Hendricks’ single mother being ‘swept into an macabre town and dark fantasy underworld while her teenage son discovers a secret road leading to an underwater town’.
