The iconic Ghostbusters saga
Almost four decades have passed since the first Ghostbusters film was released in 1984, still the action-comedy is as popular as ever, continuously leaving its mark in our modern popular culture. It’s not just the reboot from 2016 and the fact that almost anybody can hum the theme of the film, Ghostbusters have also influenced an array of games to let players jump into the ghostly world themselves. In 2009 Ghostbusters: The Video Game was released, which was recently remastered, to let the game based on the legendary films shine once again. The game features the real voices of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson, making for an especially authentic experience as you hunt ghosts in the virtual world. The legendary films have even made it into the realm of casino games, with Ghostbusters Triple Slime turning the ghost-busting adventures into a slot machine with lots of iconic symbols such as the car and logo depicted on its reels. Although it is a modern slot machine with uneven reels and 720 ways to win, this video slot game from IGT, brings the unique atmosphere of the original film into the game. Ghostbusters is truly iconic and continues to inspire new creations in our modern pop culture, making for endless opportunities to enjoy the ghostly action.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the sequel to the original films from the 80ies. Although it creates something new, it is filled to the brim with references to the original and will have every fan feel nostalgia. It’s available on Amazon Prime right now!
