Florence Pugh/Jack Reynor/Will Poulter Join Ari Aster’s Latest Horror
For us. One of the more deeply unsettling cinematic experiences of recent times.
We were tempted to rename ‘Hereditary’ earlier this Summer as ‘Eau De Collette’, because its startling imagery has lingered in our minds for many a week, all thanks to first-time director Ari Aster.
Not content with leaving audiences horrified just once. He’s remaining in the realms of the horror genre for his latest unnamed project, acquiring a wealth of rising stars already. A formidable figure in William Oldroyd’s ‘Lady Macbeth’, Florence Pugh will be alongside ‘Detroit’s Will Poulter and ‘Free Fire’s Jack Reynor, with the film centering around a couple who travel to Sweden to visit their friend’s hometown for a fabled festival. Inevitably, the trip soon turns violent in nature as they soon encounter a pagan cult. Count us in.
Completing the ensemble will be Vilhem Blomgren, William Jackson Harper, Ellora Torchia and Archie Madekwe, with distributor A24 backing Aster once again.
