Five Wondrous New Clips From Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets
With his brilliantly bonkers effort The Fifth Element celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, we say it’s only right director Luc Besson (Lucy/Leon) dives back into the science-fiction genre this Summer with Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets, which isn’t looking a far cry from its 1997 counterpart in terms of scale and spectacle.
Based on the much-loved French graphic novels created by Pierre Christin. Lionsgate have released a whole host of clips for us to feast our eyes upon, giving us a further taste of the gorgeously realised world of Alpha created by Besson and company, as Dane Dehaan’s title character and Cara Delevingne’s Laureline anchor proceedings.
Also starring Clive Owen (Children Of Men), Ethan Hawke (Before Midnight), John Goodman (Argo) and Rihanna (Bates Motel). The film is released across the UK on Wednesday 2nd August.
