Film & TV Stars Descend on Wales this Weekend for Comic Con

Comic Con Wales takes place this weekend (12th/13th August) and will see stars of Film and TV head to the International Convention Centre in Newport and Saturday 12th is already sold out!

This years edition sees some huge stars in attendance. Fans of Guardians of the Galaxy will hope to have bagged their tickets with Sean Gunn and Michael Rooker scheduled to appear and take part in photo ops and a Q&A on Sunday.

If Kraglin and Yondu aren’t enough, Danny Glover is another headline star joining the con for the weekend. Glover, who shot to fame after starring in the Lethal Weapon series alongside Mel Gibson, has almost 200 acting credits to his name and is bound to be a popular guest.

There’s stars from Back to the Future, Harry Waters Jr, James Tolkan, Don Fullilove, and Claudia Wells, as well as Paul Blake – more famously recognised as Han Solo’s ‘friend’ Greedo.

It’s not just film stars in attendance though, with Vampire Diaries fans in for a treat with Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley being one of the biggest attractions of the weekend.

Alongside that pair will be stars of Sons of Anarchy, Stranger Things and Doctor Who.

There will also be a number of artists, writers and stalls available over the weekend, as well as a whole host of famous props, cars and sets, meaning there really is something for all fans of anything pop culture!

Tickets for Saturday are sold out, however there are still a few remaining Sunday tickets available to purchase via the Comic Con Wales website
