Cillian Murphy Joins Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk
He instilled a great sense of fear into the inhabitants of Gotham City as he fought against Christian Bale’s (The Big Short) ‘Bat in the Dark Knight trilogy, whilst proving a key component within the narrative tapestry of Inception alongside Leonardo Dicaprio (The Revenant).
A regular collaborator with Interstellar’s Christopher Nolan already, In The Heart Of The Sea star Cillian Murphy has been confirmed to re-team with the director for his latest project Dunkirk, based around the evacuation that took place in the early infancy of World War II.
Murphy will be joining an already stellar cast, which will see him once again alongside his fellow Inception actor Tom Hardy (Mad Max: Fury Road), Kenneth Branagh (Valkyrie), Mark Rylance (Best Supporting Actor Oscar winner for Bridge Of Spies), Jack Lowden (’71) and the unlikely inclusion of One Direction singer Harry Styles.
Whilst we await the debut of Dunkirk in cinemas (pencilled for July 21st 2017), this year we’ll be able to see Cillian make his eagerly awaited return as Thomas Shelby in series three of BBC gangster drama Peaky Blinders and his involvement in Ben Wheatley’s (High Rise currently in cinemas) new film Free Fire.
