Carell/Fishburne/Cranston Star In First ‘Last Flag Flying’ Trailer
His career has often revolved around the dazzling duo of Ethan Hawke’s Jesse and Julie Delpy’s Celine in the much-loved ‘Before trilogy.
For his latest effort however, Oscar nominated director Richard Linklater (Boyhood) has gone one better and assembled the terrific trio of Steve Carell, Lawrence Fishburne and Bryan Cranston, in the debut trailer for ‘Last Flag Flying’.
Backed by Amazon Studios and chosen to be this year’s opener for the New York Film Festival, the plot revolves around Fishburne’s pastor Mueller being reunited with his fellow Vietnam War veterans Sal (Cranston) and Larry (Carell) after 30 years, with the latter facing up to the difficulty of burying his son who served in the Iraq War.
A UK release date is yet to be confirmed, with the film hitting US cinemas on 3rd November.
