At the ripe old age of 82, Woody Allen is showing little signs of slowing down.
After somewhat middling efforts collaborating with the like of Joaquin Phoenix (Irrational Man) and Emma Stone (Magic In The Moonlight), 2016’s Cafe Society was widely considered a glitzy return to form for the director.
Headlined by Kate Winslet who will be starring alongside Idris Elba in The Mountain Between Us later this year and Justin Timberlake who played an integral part in the success of Dreamwork’s Trolls last year.
It has been confirmed today that Allen’s latest feature ‘Wonder Wheel’ (not an unlikely companion piece to Wonder Woman!) will be released on 1st December 2017 Stateside, which may suggest he is gunning for another awards season run.
The drama will be set in 1950’s New York and is backed by Amazon Studios, who have been having a great year already with Kenneth Lonergan’s critically acclaimed Manchester By The Sea and Best Foreign Language Film Oscar winner, Asghar Farhadi’s The Salesman.
