Little over 50 years since Julie Andrews cast a spell upon cinema goers everywhere with the magical nanny character. Christmas 2018 will see Emily Blunt follow in the footsteps of the screen legend, with Mary Poppins Returns.
Even with the worthwhile singing experience gained from 2014’s Into The Woods, these are certainly big shoes to fill for the Golden Globe winner.
Today has seen various new images from the film float in, allowing us to capture our first glimpses of the grown-up Jane and Michael Banks (Emily Mortimer and Ben Whishaw respectively), as we are introduced to a new generation of Banks children in Annabel (Pixie Davies), John (Nathanael Saleh) and Georgie (Joel Dawson)
Along with a possible tease of one of the musical numbers, led by a fist-pumping Lin-Manuel Miranda who has already proven his worth in Broadway smash Hamilton and another Disney effort Moana.
How we hope this is a sequel worthy of the term supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
