It has already worked the festival circuit for much of 2015, gracing the likes of Venice, Toronto and most recently London. On Wednesday 25th November, Scott Cooper’s (Out Of The Furnace/Crazy Heart) latest star-studded effort Black Mass finally debuts in the UK.

Thanks to the kind folks at Premier, they’ve provided us with the striking UK poster for the film headed up by Johnny Depp (Edward Scissorhands) as the notorious Whitey Bulger, alongside The Imitation Game star Benedict Cumberbatch, Fifty Shades Of Grey actress Dakota Johnson and Joel Edgerton, who made his directorial debut earlier this year with The Gift.

You can read the synopsis and check out the Youtube playlist for Black Mass, which includes the main trailer and a feature on the film’s London Film Festival Gala screening below.

‘In 1970s South Boston, FBI Agent John Connolly (Joel Edgerton) persuades Irish mobster James “Whitey” Bulger (Johnny Depp) to collaborate with the FBI and eliminate a common enemy: the Italian mob. BLACK MASS tells the true story of this unholy alliance, which spiraled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement, consolidate power, and become one of the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in Boston history.’
