We have enjoyed some incredible Superhero movies over the past few years. With the Marvel stand-alone films culminating in both Avengers Assemble and Avengers: Age of Ultron. We’ve seen an incredible Batman trilogy from Christopher Nolan, with performances that will certainly live long in the memory by the likes of Heath Ledger as The Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’ and Tom Hardy as Bane in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. We’ve even been treated to an entire reboot of the Spiderman franchise by Sony.
However with 2016 and 2017 shaping up nicely in terms of seeing our caped crusaders and masked mercenaries on screen – is the next wave of Superhero films going to be even better? One thing is for sure, there will be plenty of films with the potential to be incredible. First up in March we have the clash of the titans in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which just released it’s final trailer ahead of it’s March 2016 release.
Next up it’s David Ayer’s ensemble movie ‘Suicide Squad’ which with it’s incredible cast looks like it could potentially dislodge Marvel’s Avengers franchise from the top spot. In fact, Marvel heroes surround us in every part of our lives. From snacks and drinks, to board and online casino sites like Casino.com, which offer free online marvel slots games to play.
Perhaps Marvel’s title is under threat from this new era?
If that hasn’t persuaded you, the foul-mouthed Deadpool has just been released in Cinemas for Valentines Day and offers the first ‘Adult-Hero’ movie since the likes of ‘Blade’.
However, perhaps even bigger than all of these movies is the next instalment of Marvel’s Captain America series. Returning to the standalone films following Age of Ultron, we have ‘Captain America: Civil War‘, which will pit Chris Evans’ Captain America against Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man in a clash equal to that of Batman and Superman! One thing is for sure, that regardless of which film turns out to be the most enjoyable, we really are heading towards the new wave of Superhero films. So just sit back and enjoy!
