Scott Craves Ford For ‘Blade Runner’ Sequel?

In the week where director Ridley Scott will unleash his cinematic return to the ‘Alien’ franchise ‘Prometheus’ onto the excitable masses, attention has quickly turned to another sequel on the cards of one of his most loved films.

Whilst doing the promotional rounds for his latest, one interview with The Independent in particular involving Scott has caused a stir. The reason? He’s dared to suggest that he wants original lead protagonist Harrison Ford (who played Rick Deckard) to return in some capacity.

This is despite the fact that the director has already confirmed his stance that a female will be at the forefront of the story second time around. His comments (The Independent) were as follows:

‘I don’t think it’ll be Harry [starring], But I’ve got to have him in it somewhere. That’d be amusing.”

This isn’t the first time that Ford has been linked with the project. It was only mere months ago when talk surfaced he was in talks, which soon diminished.

Whilst there is no official word from the actor, it wouldn’t be the first time he’s returned to a juggernaut of modern cinema as Indiana Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull proved.

We’ll continue to follow this story as it develops!
