First Look At Paddington 2
The delightful bear with the blue duffle coat and red hat is back.
With his first big-screen outing a runaway success at the UK box office, taking £34.07 million as it earned the title of the highest grossing independent UK film of 2014.
It’s to little surprise that Studiocanal committed to a sequel and today, we’ve been treated to a wonderful sneak-peek of Paddington 2.
Voiced by Ben Whishaw (Cloud Atlas), we see the family favourite getting into some window cleaning mishaps as we are re-introduced to the Brown family (Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins respectively), along with the debuts of Hugh Grant (Florence Foster Jenkins) and Brendan Gleeson (In Bruges).
The sequel is directed once again by Paul King and is released in UK cinemas on 10th November, with a January 2018 US release to follow.
‘Paddington is happily settled with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens, where he has become a popular member of the community, spreading joy and marmalade wherever he goes. While searching for the perfect present for his beloved Aunt Lucy’s 100th birthday, Paddington spots a unique pop-up book in Mr. Gruber’s antique shop, and embarks upon a series of odd jobs to buy it. But when the book is stolen, it’s up to Paddington and the Browns to unmask the thief.’
