Awesome Teaser Trailer For Thor: Ragnarok Debuts

Published

on

As far as solo outings go within the Marvel Cinematic universe, the mighty Thor played by Chris Hemsworth has been in danger of being left behind in the quality stakes.

His previous adventure ‘The Dark World’ greeted with middling reviews, enter Hunt For The Wilderpeople director Taika Waititi to revitalise the fortunes of the mighty Son Of Odin.

Set to the anthemic sound of Led Zeppelin’s Immigration Song spiked with the distinctive offbeat humour we’ve come to expect from Waititi, the first teaser for Thor: Ragnarok is here and it is fantastic.

Cate Blanchett’s Hela embracing her emo-rocker as she declares ‘Asgard Is Dead!’. Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie singling out contenders and a tantalising teaser of a gladiator match involving Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk.

‘It’s main event time!’ says Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster. At first glance, the film looks more than worthy of such a title.

Thor: Ragnarok debuts in UK cinemas on 27th October 2017.

Uncharted Movie Nearing Production, Has A Completed Screenplay

Published

on

In a recent interview with The Playlist, Uncharted director Shawn Levy gave an update on the flick – which has sat in development hell for the better part of a decade now – saying that the project is nearing production.

“As of right now, the closest to the starting line is Uncharted in that it’s a massive title,” Levy said, in reference to his two gestating features, Uncharted and Starman, “We now have a very good script and we have our star in Tom Holland. That is now subject to schedule and additional casting. But I would say, as of right now, that seems to be the most near the horizon. And it’s a movie I’m very excited about.”

The Uncharted movie, based on the mega-selling PlayStation video game franchise, has gone through a slew of directors, and at one point had Mark Wahlberg signed on to play the lead role of adventurer Nathan Drake. However, as of May this year, Spider-Man: Homecoming’s Tom Holland has been attached to play a younger version of the beloved gaming icon.

It’s currently unknown who has penned the script for this iteration of the film, after the screenplay by Joe Carnahan (The Grey) was dropped by Sony Pictures a few months before Holland’s casting.

No release date has been set for Uncharted. Fan-favourite pick for Nathan Drake, Firefly’s Nathan Fillion, recently starred in an unofficial short film based on the video games.
